‘Carte Blanche’ [kahrt blanch] means unconditional authority; full discretionary power.

‘X’ stands for Fashion, Media & Culture.

Having made an effort to identify niches in various fields of common interest, the founders of Carte Blanche X came together to combine the different avenues of Fashion, Media and Lifestyle/Culture to create a novel experience for young women around the world.

Carte Blanche X will encompass a number of divisions, namely: an online media platform ⎯ www.carteblanche-x.com (which includes an editorial page, a select blog community and an online shop), a quarterly publication ⎯ Miss X, our own line(s) of apparel and accessories ⎯ Sacred Hearts X, Sacred Hearts Luxe and Sacred Hearts Gems, as well as a physical space consisting of a retail store/showroom & café/bar ⎯ Room X.

A ‘Carte Blanche X’ woman is strong, individualistic and possesses a multi-faceted personality. More importantly, she knows how to inject a good dose of fun into everything that she does and is not constrained by the norms and expectations of society. She is her own woman.

With this philosophy, ‘Every girl should be a Carte Blanche X girl’.

Arissa Cheo

Growing up, Arissa has lived in Singapore, Melbourne, Taipei and Los Angeles. While she is currently based in Singapore, she also spends her time between Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo and the USA.

In between school, Arissa’s experience in the entertainment industries in Hong Kong and Taiwan triggered her interest in media production. During college in Los Angeles, she was inspired by the way fashion and the culture of Hollywood are mutually dependent and intertwined with one another and this sparked some ideas. Upon graduating from college, she went on to help out with the family business. The inherent need to “run a business” in her blood has propelled her to dream big dreams of building her own empire.

Arissa graduated from The University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and minor in Film & Television.

Lin Ting

Lin Ting started out in audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers, then moved on to finance at The Royal Bank of Scotland. From these experiences, she gained valuable insight into the inner workings of businesses across a range of industries and equipped herself with the number sense required to eventually run a start-up.

Having grown up in a family of entrepreneurs, it has always been a passion of hers to one day dabble at starting her own business and combine her interests in her day to day tasks, thereby approaching “work” in a much more fulfilling manner. Thus far, each day has presented new challenges and has proved itself to be an enriching experience.

Lin Ting graduated from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honors) degree.
