Young Love

We have recently fallen in love with the ad campaigns for The Kooples. The brand was formed by the same people who were also behind the creation of classic french label, Comptoir de Cottoniers, which markets towards mothers and daughters. The Kooples on the other hand, aims at couples and lovers.

Our love for this brand was first ignited through its never ending commitment for impeccable tailoring combined with a subtle french romanticism, held well together by a British rockstar aesthetic. The thing that makes The Kooples stand out from the crowd is their idealistic, if not, brilliant concept of bringing their focus on fashionable couples that lovingly remind us of Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin. Each collection is designed carefully with an androgynous take on each garment and edgy details like skull buttons. The idea of being able to walk into a store with your oh-so-fabulous other half and each finding a perfect blazer together just a few steps away from each other is just too hard to resist!

Spring/Summer 2012

It only seems logical that The Kooples‘ ad campaigns focus on real-life stunningly gorgeous couples that compliment the brand and their aesthetic. The couples are casted on the street and once their selections are made they are flown over to Paris for a glamorous photoshoot.

Below, you can view our two favorite couples Jonas & Venus and Luke & Fahrani. Other than their achingly good looks and charming accents, both couples are decked out in The Kooples looking effortlessly cool in their interchangeable outfits. Although these looks are from a few seasons ago, the collection steer clear from being outdated and are still perfectly wearable. Time to add more to our never ending, ever growing, wishlist.
